Larson Electronics unveils MM-3 magnetic mount aluminum tripod

Larson Electronics has introduced MM-3 aluminum tripod with magnetic bases for mounting high value electronics in high stress applications for military and commercial purposes.

Compliant to the US Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) specifications, the MM-3 tripod has been designed to provide a versatile and stable mounting platform for cameras, night vision devices, binoculars and other similar equipment to support missions.

Capable of supporting 40lb of equipment, the magnetic base tripod can be used for high stability and secure placement, even under rough driving conditions.

The aluminum tripod also support high value instruments for semi-permanent mount applications as well as ability for operators to magnetically attach their gear to uneven surfaces, Bresnahan added.

The easily deployable MM-3 tripod features heavy duty anodized aluminum construction, three fully articulated legs to allow mounting to unusual surface angles, and three 200lb grip magnetic foot pads for extremely secure and stable mounting.

The compact heavy duty tripod features stainless steel hardware to provide extreme durability and resistance to rust and corrosion.

The new adjustable centre post mounting platform can be deployed on civilian vehicles, armoured vehicles, humvees, tanks, boats, and any ferrous metallic surface.

In addition to supporting military missions, the MM-3 aluminum tripod can be used for and law enforcement applications as well as security and hunting where lighting and camera equipment is often mounted to the exterior of vehicles.
