AmpliVox Sound Systems launches waterproof Pro Marine Megaphone

AmpliVox Sound Systems has launched the new waterproof Pro Marine Megaphone, model WP609R, in the US to provide powerful sound coverage that stands up to water, dust, heat and cold.

Manufactured in the US, using high-impact polycarbonate, the new megaphone can resist water and dust enabling it to operate on both land and water.

Equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the megaphone is expected to offer up to eight hours of use.

The integrated charge indicator light informs the user when battery is running low.

Additionally features of the unit include shock-absorbing rubber edge cushions as well as wrap-around handles.

The watertight design of the unit will help it float if dropped in the water, but can still operate perfectly even when submerged for up to 30 minutes, the company said.

The megaphone is expected to provide reliable communication for industrial, fire and rescue, law enforcement, public safety, military, boating, water sports, and outdoor recreation settings, as well as any emergency situations.

The product has been drop-tested to exceed MIL STD 810F 516.5 specifications for shock, as well as to meet US regulatory requirements.
