Implant Sciences provides QS-H150 explosives detection systems to a Middle East customer

The military branch of a Middle Eastern nation has purchased four Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detection systems from Implant Sciences.

Sale was carried out through the company’s international distributor Building Defence Systems (BDS) based in Bahrain.

Implant Sciences’ Sales and Marketing vice president Dr. Darryl Jones stated, "The QS-H150’s portability and ability to cope with challenging Middle East environmental conditions were key factors in this sale."

Using Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) technology, the QS-H150 is capable of quickly and accurately detecting trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, and homemade explosives.

Capable of providing high levels of operational availability, the Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 indicates parts-per-trillion (ppt) levels of explosives vapour and nanogram quantities of explosives particulates for the users.

Designed as a low-maintenance, self-calibrating, and self-clearing device, the QS-H150 is built with no radioactive materials and provides very high levels of operational availability.

The system has validated its performance capability in a wide variety of temperatures and challenging environments, from humid jungles to dry and sand swept deserts.

The QS-H150 has been designated as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act).
