CACI, Laser Energetics to provide non-lethal weapons to US federal agencies

CACI International and Laser Energetics (LNGT) have entered into a strategic teaming agreement to provide non-lethal weapons to the US Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal government organisations.

Laser Energetics’ founder and chief executive officer Robert Battis stated that the teaming agreement with CACI will help the firm to increase its sales in the federal market.

As part of the agreement, both companies will jointly work to offer the Dazer Laser Light Fighting Technologies product line of laser optical distracters to the agencies to help counter asymmetric warfare threats and protect citizens with better law enforcement technology.

CACI will provide logistics support for the products, including deployment planning, installation and training, warranty management and sparing, field service representatives, and help desk services.

Available in hand-held and weapon-mounted variants, the laser products allow users to operate them at any preferred stand-off distances and are safe even during very close combat and crowd control scenarios.

Additionally, the low weight laser optical distracters are combat-effective at extended long ranges, and have power characteristics that meet and exceed current mission capability requirements.
