ArdentMC to support US DHS’ geospatial concept of operations

The US Department of Homeland Security has awarded a contract to Ardent Management Consulting (ArdentMC) to support operations, maintenance and further development of the Homeland Security Geospatial Concept of Operations (GeoCONOPS).

Awarded under the DHS Geospatial Technical Support Services (GTSS) BPA, the three-year task order involves continuing the delivery of coordinating geospatial information needs for the Federal, State and local level Homeland Security community, in addition to partners from private sector.

ArdentMC president and chief executive officer Brandon LaBonte said: "This task order is a combination of strategy and technical work continuing efforts to establish a government-wide concept of operations for identifying and using geospatial data in emergencies and expanding the availability of this data through the use of mobile technology.

"ArdentMC brings significant expertise in these areas and understands the critical benefits the GeoCONOPS program extends to the homeland security community, public and private sectors."

The DHS’ GeoCONOPS acts as a strategic roadmap to recognise and enhance the synchronisation of geospatial activities across the complete spectrum of the Nation: ranging from Federal, to State, and local governments, to private sector and community organisations, academia, the research and development industry and people for the Homeland Security and Homeland Defense (HD).
