SEE to integrate lifesaving first responder tool with NRL’s CT-Analyst

The US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has provided commercial license for CT-Analyst, a rapid urban plume modeling and hazard assessment system, to Safe Environment Engineering (SEE).

The license will enable SEE to integrate CT Analyst with its Lifeline MultiMeterViewer software suite, for use of public safety, industrial safety and monitoring, and environmental monitoring.

Developed by researchers at NRL in the Laboratories for Computational Physics and Fluid Dynamics, CT-Analyst provides fast and accurate predictions of chemical, biological, and radiological agent airborne transport in urban environments for first responders.

CT-Analyst features advanced pre-computed plume information databases, known as Nomografs, to provide immediate results.

The SEE-built Lifeline MultiMeterViewer has been designed to provide an overview of multiple detection instruments in a real time display as well as functions as an instant command centre, displaying data and providing both audible and visual alarms.

The CT-Analyst equipped Lifeline MultiMeterViewer will offer accurate and up-to-date plume displays as well as additional relevant information including contaminant concentration levels and hazard areas for people to avoid.

Capable of providing answers approximately 0.05 seconds versus computational fluid dynamics models to first responders, the CT-Analyst can also provide more detailed information, quicker, and with better results than industry accepted "Puff/Plume" models that take several minutes to run.
