CSC to provide financial systems support services for US DHS CBP

CSC has secured single-award blanket purchase agreement (BPA) and first task order by the US Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to provide financial systems support services including next-generation capabilities.

Awarded under the General Services Administration’s (GSA) schedule 70 contract, the BPA and the first task order have an estimated total value of $86m and $31m respectively and have one-year base period and four option years.

Under the first task order, CSC will provide operations and maintenance of financial systems and functional support such as help desk, user training, upgrades and enhancements, to CBP’s 5,000 SAP users.

The company will also assist in the development and implementation of new financial systems, including a shared services model across DHS, as part of the BPA.

CSC North American Public Sector Homeland Security and Civil Agencies Group vice president and general manager Catherine Kuenzel said that the company will leverage its significant expertise to design and implement a financial shared services model for CBP and across DHS.

"CSC’s understanding of CBP’s mission, combined with our success in delivering SAP functionality to federal agencies and global organizations will drive IT efficiencies and cost savings for CBP’s financial systems," Kuenzel added.

The company will help the agency establish a CBP shared services programme for interested DHS organisations and components.
