Saudi Arabia seeks support services for FSF-TAG from US

The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has notified Congress of a potential foreign military sale (FMS) for support services and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Under the anticipated $80m sale, Saudi Arabia has sought the US to offer support services for the Facilities Security Forces- Training and Advisory Group (FSF-TAG) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Interior (MOI).

Services to be offered under the package for three years include technical assistance and advisory support salaries, housing, office equipment, training, maintenance, vehicles, travel, furniture, and other related support.

Specifically, the services would extend FSF-TAG and its capabilities to offer provisions to Saudi Arabia’s MOI in aid of its critical infrastructure security efforts, while bolstering strategic partnership between both nations.

The prime contractors for the proposed potential sale, which also contributes to the foreign policy and national security of the US by assisting improving the security of Saudi Arabia, currently, remain confidential

Earlier, in December 2013, Saudi Arabia requested DSCA for supply of 750 BGM-71 2B TOW missiles, seven fly-to-buy TOW2B missiles, 1,000 BGM-71 2A TOW missiles, seven fly-to-buy TOW2A missiles, spare and repair parts, support equipment, and other related elements of logistics and programme support.
