Magal bags $4m contract for its security systems

Magal Security Systems (MAGS) has won different contracts worth more than $4m to deploy its smart security systems.

One of the contracts worth about $2m involves the delivery and deployment of dual technology smart fence (taut wire and vibration sensors) for a homeland security application in Israel.

Further, the company bagged $500,000 worth orders for its new secure fibre sensor technology for installation at industrial sites and sea-ports in South-East Asia and the US.

Magal S3 president and CEO Eitan Livneh said: "Following our strategic acquisition of long range fibre optic PIDS technology, we are definitely seeing strong traction for this technology.

"I am also encouraged by the ongoing receipt of follow-on orders from our existing customers."

In addition, remaining orders involve a mix of products and projects such as the expansion of a Ramat Ha’sharon safe city project in Israel.

Also included is development of a smart robust grid to protect water canals in a nuclear power plant in the Far-East.
