Exelis C4i receives voice communications system contract from Airservices

Airservices Australia has awarded a contract extension to Exelis C4i to provide its voice communications system to six additional airports.

Under the contract, Exelis C4i will provide SwitchplusIP Alarmon system to six additional airports.

In addition to integrating all airport voice communications for the Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) services and alarm and telemetry monitoring, the system automates processes and procedures for responding to critical events at the airport.

Exelis C4i managing director Peter Harrison said the Alarmon system can be connected to the Airservices national network to provide a system of systems solution.

"The benefit of such application allows for resources at airports to enhance command and control capability which assists skilled personnel at the airports during an incident,"Harrison added.

Capable of providing operators with an advanced, integrated emergency response coordination system, the SwitchplusIP Alarmon is designed specifically for use within rescue and fire fighting control rooms.

The system can develop a simplified and unified output of the complex actions and activities being performed behind the scenes.
Additionally, the Alarmon has the potential to increase productivity and safety in any department while ensuring missions are accomplished safely.
