US GSA awards enterprise IT service contract to SAIC

The US General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded a contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to provide enterprise information technology services in support of the US Central Command’s (USCENTCOM) Directorate of Command, Control, Communications and Computers.

Under the contract, SAIC will provide IT services, including command, control, communications, and computer (C4) systems support, theatre network operations, engineering, cybersecurity, programs and architectures, and resource management.

SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager Dan Harris said, "We look forward to using our technical knowledge and unique communications and managerial capabilities to provide warfighters the C4 support they need to achieve mission success."

The Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) had awarded the task order under the GSA Alliant Government-wide Acquisition Contract.

In addition to enhancing cooperation among nations, responds to crises, deters or defeats state and non-state aggression, the USCENTCOM supports development and reconstruction to establish the conditions for regional security, stability and prosperity.

The cost-plus award-fee (CPAF) task order has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options.

Work will be carried out in Tampa, Florida, US while the contract is valued $433m if all options are exercised.

SAIC serves the US Department of Defense, the intelligence community, the US Department of Homeland Security, other US Government civil agencies and selected commercial markets.
