US NSA certifies General Dynamics’ new 10G encryptor

The US National Security Agency (NSA) has certified General Dynamics Mission Systems’ new TACLANE-10G (KG-175X) in-line network encryptor to secure information at the top secret level and below.

The NSA certification allows the firm to sell new 10G encryptor to the US government organisations.

General Dynamics Mission Systems president Chris Marzilli said: "The NSA certification of TACLANE-10G is another step forward for General Dynamics Mission Systems’ cyber defence capabilities.

"General Dynamics keeps our customers connected while ensuring their security and advancing their operations. Securing sensitive and critical information is yet another example of how we support our customers."

Part of the firm’s cyber defence product family, the TACLANE-10G can encrypt the equivalent of a high-definition feature film in moments, accelerating it securely through a network with fidelity at the top secret level and below.

In addition, the encryptor helps to send and receive multiple US and coalition data files simultaneously without operator intervention, minimising the number of encryptors required to carry out similar functions.

General Dynamics Mission Systems cyber systems line of business general manager and vice-president Nadia Short said: "For more than 50 years, the US government has trusted General Dynamics to secure government networks ensuring that sensitive and classified information remains out of the reach of unauthorised individuals.
