Digital Ally to supply body cameras to York City and Indiana police in US

Digital Ally has received two contracts to supply body camera and related software systems to York City Police Department in Pennsylvania and Large Indiana Metropolitan Police Department in US.

The contract with York City Police will require Digital Ally to replace the department’s existing in-car video equipment video suite with its latest in-car video system, the DVM-800.

It also covers the delivery of 100 FirstVu HD body cameras and docking stations, 18 DVM-800 in-car systems and VuLink software.

York City Police Department is just one of nearly 300 Pennsylvania law enforcement agencies that have selected Digital Ally solutions.

"Included in the new order is our VuLink in-car system, which allows our digital audio/video cameras (such as the DVM-800) and our body-worn cameras to automatically and simultaneously start recording once either of the devices is triggered. This allows multiple recordings of the same event from different perspectives in order to provide a more complete recording of the event."

The company will also supply 80 FirstVu HD body-worn video cameras, docking stations to recharge the FirstVu HD units and VuLink to Large Indiana Metropolitan Police Department.

The department will also receive the company’s evidence management software system VuVault.

With multiple camera and mounting options as well as crystal clear high definition audio and video, FirstVu HD is said to be the most versatile body camera on the market.

These systems are combined with Digital Ally’s patented VuLink technology, which is said to be the only product on the market to facilitate hands free activation of an officer’s in-car and body-worn camera systems.

In July, Digital Ally received body camera and in-car video supply orders from the Alamosa Police Department in Colorado and Camden County Police Department in New Jersey, US.
