US SSC Atlantic contracts GD for C4ISR and IT support

The US Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic has awarded a contract to General Dynamics (GD) Information Technology to provide command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) and information technology (IT) support.

Awarded to all five awardees, the total $750m multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a performance period of five years and includes options.

Under the contract, the company will perform activities such as engineer, design, develop, install, test and maintain a wide range of communication networks and systems for the US European Command (USEUCOM), US Central Command (USCENTCOM) and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).

In support of C4ISR efforts, the company will also provide programme management, technical support and integrated logistics services, including equipment accomplishment and tracking to its European Office and its Combatant Command and Unified Command customers.

GD Information Technology’s National and Homeland Security division senior vice president Zannie Smith said the company will provide trustworthy IT services and C4ISR test and evaluation support to meet the operational requirements of the Department of Defense and other US government sponsors worldwide.

"We have the expertise needed to support SSC Atlantic and provide cost-effective analysis and reliable communication and management for its customers as they strive for security and strength across more than 70 nations," Smith added.

SSC Atlantic designs, acquires, engineers and sustains the systems, sensor connections, cyber network infrastructures and knowledge management services to ensure available of reliable information whenever and wherever required.
