SAIC wins support contract from US Cyber Command

Science Applications International Corp. has secured a contract from the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) and US Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) to provide cyber operations support services.

The five year, multi-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract has a total value of $460m for all awardees.

SAIC is one of six awardees and work will be performed primarily at Fort Meade, Maryland.

SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the DoD Agencies and Commands Customer Group Linda Messano said: "SAIC is proud to support USCYBERCOM operations and joint mission planning capabilities for the Department of Defense. We are excited to begin work on this critical program and to bring our mission understanding and experience to support and enhance our nation’s cyber defense."

USCYBERCOM plans, coordinates, integrates, synchronises, and conducts activities to direct the operations and defense of specified DoD Information Networks and, when directed, conducts full-spectrum military Cyberspace Operations.

As per the contract, SAIC will offer a wide scope of cyber support services, including new and emerging technologies, which may evolve over the life of the contract.

SAIC will offer capabilities, knowledge, and expertise in the full range of technologies, cyberspace operations, joint operations planning, training and exercises, and business areas needed to support USCYBERCOM’s operational mission.

The contract’s scope also includes all-source intelligence, research and development, test, and evaluation services.
