Plasan establishes new division to address homeland security requirements

Israel-based armoured systems manufacturer Plasan has established a new division to provide integrated mobile solutions for homeland security missions.
 
Called Plasan Security Solutions (PSS), the new division will offer advanced mission-specific vehicles with full system integration and customisation for homeland security challenges, leveraging Plasan’s technological leadership, operational know-how and track record.
 
Expected to be fitted with high manoeuvrability and superior armour protection, the manned-vehicle aims to address a range of homeland security threats, including illegal border crossing, terrorism and organised crime, public disorder, safety incidents and natural disasters, by facilitating rapid deployment of forces and surveillance systems.
 
Plasan CEO Dani Ziv said the company is committed to protecting lives, valuable equipment and contributing to successful operations with solutions that are substantially advanced beyond existing standards.
 
"We provide our customers with the safety and protection they must have in facing threats and add PSS integration capabilities to form a solution that answers the different needs such organizations have,” Ziv added.
 
In addition, PSS will offer fully integrated technologies, and advanced sensors, including long-range surveillance and intelligence systems, tactical radars, command and control, advanced communication systems among others.
 
The systems, which are likely to be added to current vehicle fleets, can also be integrated to form a holistic solution that is easily deployable on different platforms suitable to the mission and territory.
