NC4 unveils new NC4 Street Smart 2.0 crime connector

NC4 has introduced NC4 Street Smart 2.0, a new crime connector to help officers solve cases faster by identifying relevant information in real-time.

NC4 Street Smart has been designed to enable officers to quickly share crime-related information to combat crime faster by visualising data points on maps, and aggregating and sharing relevant information through situation-based bulletins and secure blogs.

Featuring Microsoft and Esri technologies to allow easy display of all the crime data, the NC4 Street Smart enhances Microsoft SharePoint 2013 collaboration capabilities.

The visual tools, including mapping, enable users to see in real-time, a breakdown of crimes and their locations through a live operational map.

Tampa Police Department chief Jane Castor said, "TPD has seen a significant drop in crime since our deployment of NC4 Street Smart and we look forward to the additional capabilities."

The new NC4 Street Smart 2.0 features standard web technologies such as JSON to extend the application without requiring partners to learn a new technology platform as well as allow partners to add data from a myriad of sources.

NC4 showcased the new product at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner conference, held in Houston, Texas, US.
