MorphoTrak delivers MorphoBIS to NYPD

Morpho subsidiary MorphoTrak has delivered and deployed MorphoBIS, an automated biometric identification system for the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

The MorphoBIS has been designed to handle ten-print and latent matching, including lights-out processing with unmatched speed and accuracy, matching of palm prints and mobile two-finger searches.

The Morpho’s biometric matching technology will provide lights-out latent fingerprint accuracy, the most cost-effective solution for agencies, to help process large numbers of latent searches, while allowing experts to focus on critical cases.

Capable of fully integrating fingerprints, palm-prints, face images, signatures, descriptive and other data, the system uses image enhancement tools on all workstations as well as dual screen display with flexible GUI components.

Compliant to international standards such as ANSI/NIST ITL1- 2007 and 2-2008, FBI EBTS V9.1 and EBTS IEPD-XML V2.0 as well as Prüm, MorphoBIS features open software architecture comprising of non proprietary components to enable integration into an existing IT infrastructure.
