Integrity Ballistics develops Pancake bullets for law enforcement

Integrity Ballistics has developed a new, less-lethal round known as Burns 1401 for law enforcement purposes.

Developed by Integrity Ballistics chemical engineer and founder Joe Kolnik, the Burns 1401 bullet features smart technology which improves officer’s safety and subjects when used within the operating range of 19-75ft.

During a recent Wayne State’s biomechanical laboratory test on the new round, Burns 1401 demonstrated that it can break through the skin when deployed at the recommended operating ranges.

In order to reduce harm to the target, the new round has been designed to flatten like a disk on impact with a subject’s body, while holding the same stopping force as other rounds.

Capable of reducing the risk of soft tissue damage, the new bullet features polymer "bullet" material designed to flatten on impact and visible orange shell for easy recognition.

The appropriate force can use the new asset to stop a threat with less chance of skin penetration and is designed for all 12-gauge shotgun models.

Capable of producing more force-on-target, the Burns flexible baton round has been developed to meet lethality and performance criteria over a broad range of distances and temperatures.
