Dominican Republic to implement Rockwell’s ARINC Border Management solution

Dominican Republic has selected Rockwell Collins’ ARINC Border Management solution for enhanced immigration and border control.

The project is part of a larger customs management system implemented by South Korea-based Hyundai Autoever and supports Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), a collective of countries that promote policies to improve the economic and social well-being globally.

Under the terms of the deal, Rockwell Collins will provide a turnkey Border Management solution to the Dirección General de Migración of the Dominican Republic.

In addition, Rockwell will provide the officials with Advanced Passenger Information (API) data, Passenger Name Record (PNR) and Interactive API data which will enable them to identify high risk individuals.

The ARINC Border Management solution will provide the ability to review passenger information in advance allows law enforcement agencies to identify high risk individuals. The project is expected to ease passenger processing while improving border security.

Rockwell Collins managing director for networks and managed services Kenneth Schreder said: "The OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems, like border control.

"This agreement serves as a model of how Rockwell Collins can work with agencies, governments and industry around the world to provide solutions that improve security for everyone."

The overall project is made possible through South Korea’s participation in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), a group of countries dedicated to promoting policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world.
