California police select NC4 Street Smart for crime-fighting

Pembroke Pines Police Department in California has selected provider of public safety and emergency management systems NC4’s Street Smart to enhance crime-fighting efforts in the region.

Under the terms of the deal, NC4 Street Smart will facilitate the police officers with critical real-time data while patrolling the streets apart from improving communication and speeding up information sharing within their departments.

The software is expected to improve policing effectiveness through constantly updated crime maps, bulletins and blogs.

Additionally, the new solution will enable the officers to share relevant information quickly.

With the adoption of the new technology solution, the Police Department expects to provide the professional law enforcement services to the entire population of Pembroke Pines.

Pembroke Pines Police Department chief of police Dan Giustino said: "Our community will benefit from our partnership with NC4. This patrol-centred software will allow our officers to leverage multiple data sources in real-time enhancing situational awareness. In doing so, we expect NC4 to be a force-multiplier in our crime-fighting efforts."

NC4 Public Safety vice-president Rob Wolf said: "We are thrilled to have another agency in Florida utilizing NC4 Street Smart to help in their crime fight."

"This software will allow police officers in the Pembroke Pines PD to share information quickly within their department, helping not only with officer safety, but helping the officers to more effectively manage crime and offenders in the area."

NC4 Street Smart solution is currently used by a number of other police departments in Florida and across the US.
