CACI to support US Central Command’s Counter Narco-Terrorism programme

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has awarded a contract to CACI International to support its counter narco-terrorism (CNT) programme in Afghanistan and all over CENTCOM’s area of responsibility (AOR).

Awarded under the Rapid Response 3rd Generation contract vehicle, the latest $62.5m contract involves provision of support in areas including programme management, advisement, training, and logistics for both CENTCOM and its military and civilian partner agencies.

CACI chief operating officer John Mengucci said: "This award allows CACI to continue to provide low-risk, quick-reaction, and agile support for the U.S. Central Command’s dynamic mission requirements in counter narco-terrorism work.

"CACI’s experienced personnel have developed metrics-driven solutions that ensure accountability for its team and quantifiable results for the customer."

As part of the CNT mission, CENTCOM will work to establish and support CNT networks and infrastructure, defend US Armed Forces executing CNT work, and offer law enforcement training to host nations in its AOR to hamper narco-terrorist activities and organisations.

The company has been offering support for CENTCOM mission for the past five years, together with its team comprising ex-top-ranking military officers and officials from civilian agencies well involved in CNT work.
