New Jersey Law Enforcement personnel to use Karbon MPID

Karbon Arms’s multi purpose immobilization device (MPID), an electronic immobilization device (EID), has been approved by New Jersey for use by law enforcement officers.

The Karbon MPID had met the rigorous criteria under the revised policy set forth by New Jersey Attorney General which governs the use of stun guns in New Jersey.

Karbon Arms CEO Robert Gruder said that more than 20,000 state and municipal officers as well as law enforcement professionals can now use EIDs in New Jersey.

"The Karbon MPID is the only EID that utilizes off the shelf batteries and is also fully field repairable which should translate into significant cost savings for agencies," Gruder added.

"The MPID has considerably less electrical charge per pulse than the other EID technologies currently available in New Jersey."

In addition to state-of-the-art technologies, the new EID is integrated with off the shelf batteries; internal cartridge retention and integrated cartridge eject system.

The internal cartridge retention of the device will protect the cartridge when things heat up, while the single finger cartridge will eject the cartridge quickly and effectively.

The MPID also features uni-body solid frame construction and a push button on/off safety to ensure the MPID turns on when needed.
