TCS to deliver five-year training programme for US DoD

TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) has received a contract to provide the US Department of Defense (DoD) personnel with critical curriculum development and training delivery services for approximately $68m.

Under the terms of the agreement, TCS will support the government’s cybersecurity workforce development for five years.

TCS will employ its Art of Exploitation cybersecurity (AoE) portfolio, government-specific cybersecurity services and training programmes to complement and enhance the training delivery.

Under the AoE training, TCS will deliver customised instruction in the fields of penetration testing, forensics, defense strategies, vulnerability analysis, software development and reverse engineering.

The AoE portfolio includes PerformanScore, a performance based testing tool to enable skill-level assessments.

TCS senior vice-president and chief technology officer Drew Morin said: "The DoD’s cyber workforce development efforts are one of our nation’s top priorities.

"This contract renewal acknowledges our proven track record of excellence in developing and delivering complex cybersecurity operations training at the scale and demanding operational tempo required by our nation’s warfighters.

"TCS’ expert cybersecurity instructors and continuously updated curriculum fully support the government’s objective to fortify mission-critical assignments with experienced and knowledgeable professionals."

TCS’ has undertaken cybersecurity training of more than 12,000 government and enterprise professionals since 2009.
