Seraphim to introduce new imaging surveillance technologies at AUSA 2012

Seraphim Optronics is planning to introduce its two new imaging surveillance technologies at the upcoming 2012 Annual Association of the US Army (AUSA) Meeting & Exposition, scheduled to be held from 22 to 24 October 2012 in Washington DC, US.

The two new products include Ultimate Gap Filler (UGF) which comprises mini unattended ground imager (MUGI) equipped with radar for border protection application as well as the next generation urban persistent covert surveillance system, Chameleon 2 for enhanced capabilities in communications and day-and-night camera.

Capable of being triggered by radar, unattended ground sensors such as UGS-acoustic and seismic, or integral video motion detection (VMD) in the MUGI, the UGF provides persistent surveillance with an automatic detection range of up to 2km for border protection.

In addition to providing real-time, persistent covert surveillance for ground forces, MUGI can be camouflaged for quick deployment in special operations and provides enhanced situational awareness.

The unattended persistent urban reconnaissance covert surveillance system, Chameleon 2 has been designed to remotely monitor hostile target movements and identify and respond to human targets at 120m.
