KPMG to provide ERP solution to Surrey, Sussex and Thames Valley Polices
KPMG and KPMG Crimsonwing have entered into an agreement to offer Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution to Surrey, Sussex and Thames Valley police forces.
The new Microsoft Dynamics platform is said to be rolled out to nearly 18,000 employees across these three forces.
Surrey Police senior responsible officer Jane Harwood said: "Through using this technology, Surrey, Sussex and Thames Valley Police will reduce the administrative burden on officers and staff, enabling the forces to deliver even better policing for their communities.
"We will undoubtedly continue to see more shared service platforms being delivered within UK policing as forces strive to work together to drive greater efficiency, and indeed in the wider public sector as devolution continues."
The solution is expected to go live by the end of 2017.
This cloud-based platform is developed to improve flexibility through mobile working and enables greater collaboration.
It also provides better access to business and management information, which allows the forces to carry out their functions effectively and efficiently.
The new solution covers finance, fleet, Human Resources, Learning and Development and payroll. It also covers duty management and rostering activity, which will however, be covered by third party, Crown Duty Management System.
KPMG Group will further work to leverage its experience within the policing sector, besides providing the Microsoft Dynamics ERP platform within complex organisations.
