Cubic to support US DTRA’s CBRNE exercise training

Cubic-subsidiary Mission Support Services has received a $500m contract from the US Department of Defence (DoD) to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) exercise.

In addition to the support, the company will also provide training, capability assessment, and capacity development support services.

Cubic Mission Support Services president Bill Toti said: "Cubic is excited to partner with DTRA to employ effective CBRNE exercise, training, capability assessment, and development support services to mitigate threats and keep warfighters and citizens safe.

"This is an important mission executed by dedicated personnel in every corner of the globe who are passionate about their work."

The contract also involves provision of services to DTRA’s Building Partnerships Division, which includes training, exercise, and building partner capacity event support.

Work under the contract, which is expected to run through to July 2024, will be based out of Cubic’s Operations Support and Education Group’s Kingstowne, Virginia office and also at several locations globally.

Cubic’s team also includes Computer Sciences, Louisiana State University, Ascenttra, Harkcon, Marton Technologies, Strategic Operations Solutions, Tech62, TMC, Helios Global, ISSI, ITA International, Obsidian Solutions Group, and Tatitlek.

Based in Hamptom, Virginia, Cubic’s Operations Support and Education Group will deliver training, staffing, and analytical solutions to all the military services and several government entities.
