China to receive additional QS-H150 detectors from Implant Sciences

Implant Sciences has been awarded a contract for the supply of additional Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detector systems to China.

Under the contract, the company will deliver 11 Sniffer QS-H150 explosives trace detectors for use by various police departments and bomb squads in China.

Implant Sciences’ vice president of Sales and Marketing Darryl Jones said the companyhas been supplying explosives trace detection equipment to China to assist in security, since 2005.

"With hundreds of systems deployed in a wide variety of security applications across the country, our products have a well-established reputation for quality and reliability," Jones added.

The QS-H150 detector features a patented vortex collector to enable simultaneous detection of explosives, particulates and vapours with or without physical contact and in real-time.

Indicated by a visible and audible alarm, the Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 quickly alerts the user on detection of a threat substance, which is identified and displayed on the integrated LCD screen, while limiting equipment contamination and allowing for ultra-fast clear-down.

The advanced Quantum Sniffer can also detect parts-per-trillion (ppt) levels of explosives vapour and nanogram quantities of explosives particulates for threat substances.

The system can be fitted with a monitor and keyboard for easy access to spectrogram display and analysis tools, administrative tools and diagnostics.
