Argon launches new detector simulator for CBRN response training

Argon Electronics has launched a new detector simulator LCD3.3-SIM / M4E1 JCAD-SIM, to enhance efficiency and safety of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) response training to simulated chemical vapours, toxic industrial substances or false positives.

Capable of being set anywhere, including within public buildings, in less than 10 minutes, the electronic simulation sources can be set to enhance training efficiency by configuring the menu structure of the LCD3.3-SIM/JCAD simulator to match that of the actual detector.

Available in military and first responder (FR) versions, the LCD3.3-SIM can simulate a broad range of emergency conditions, including the presence of nerve, blister, blood, choking Agents, TICs and False Positives; contamination, decontamination and persistence; and the effects of wind direction and temperature.

The system can be operated with the help of a remote control, using which the instructor determines the effectiveness of decontamination drills by controlling the remaining contamination, simulate persistency and effects of wind or temperature, and to instantly reset a scenario for the next exercise.

Also known as M4E1 JCAD-SIM in US, LCD3.3-SIM is fully compatible with Argon’s Plume SIM system, which is an instrumented CBRN response training simulation system that helps enhance flexibility and usage in field exercises.

LCD3.3-SIM can also be used along with other simulators, including AP2C-SIM, CAMSIM and CP100-SIM, which allow simultaneous multi-detector, multi substance training within the same training scenario.
