Gibraltar is a manufacturer of high-security products for the homeland security industry.
The company's products are designed to protect borders, perimeters, governments, and industrial and commercial facilities. Its solutions are implemented in military bases, prisons, airports, power plants and substations, refineries, corporate headquarters, embassies and other critical infrastructure (for example, banks, stadiums and markets).
Anti-terrorist fence systems and barrier solutions
Gibraltar protects both domestic and international assets, and has excelled in creating high-security, anti-terrorist fence systems. Its success enables the company to meet the needs of its customers and provide them with various barrier solutions.
Innovative new product lines allow Gibraltar to revolutionise the industry and provide new solutions for asset security.
Anti-ram crash fence for protection from criminals
Gibraltar provides a full range of barrier products that fully secure perimeters from physical vehicular attacks.
The firm's G-Force Brace & Beam Anti Ram Crash Fence protects entire facilities and personnel from being breached by criminals, terrorists and enemies.
The system can completely surround an asset and be integrated with the G-2000 active wedge barrier, G-3000 vertical lift barrier, G-4000 anti-ram drop arm or G-5550 anti-ram sliding crash gate, at access control points.
The product provides the highest level of protection that an anti-ram security system can offer. Many of Gibraltar's anti-ram barriers are shallow-mounted, which helps avoid disruption of underground utilities.
Active and passive vehicle barriers
Gibraltar provides both active vehicle barriers (AVB) and passive vehicle barrier (PVBs).
The company's AVBs include the G-2000 Series active wedge barriers, G-3000 Series vertical lift barriers, G-4000 Series anti-ram drop arms and G-5000 Series anti-ram gates. The active vehicle barriers can be provided via electric or hydraulic operation.
Gibraltar's passive vehicle barriers include its G-1000 Series anti-ram bollards and the G-Force Brace & Beam Anti Ram Crash Fence.
The firm's G-Series product line has been tested to ASTM F2656-07 test specifications and products carry M50 P1 (K12) certification.
Border solutions for deterring illegal entries
Gibraltar has developed pedestrian and vehicle barrier solutions to assist the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - Customs / Border Protection (CBP) Secure Border Initiative Tactical Infrastructure programme in gaining effective control of the country's southern US border.
The company's border solutions support DHS CBP personnel, as they are effective in slowing, redirecting and deterring illegal entries.
Barriers for anti-terrorism and force protection operations
Gibraltar's anti-ram vehicle barriers meet or exceed US Department of State (DoS) and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.
The firm's barriers can be found on the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) DoD anti-ram vehicle barrier list and meet anti-terrorism and force protection (AT/FP) requirements.
CFATS-complaint security solutions
Gibraltar's anti-terrorist security barriers meet Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) regulations. CFATS uses a dynamic multi-tiered risk assessment process and requires facilities as high-risk to meet and maintain performance-based security standards appropriate to the facilities and the risks they pose.
DHS chemical security inspectors operate in all 50 states to help ensure facilities have security measures in place to meet CFATS requirements.
Global protection from vehicular attacks
Gibraltar's anti-ram barrier systems meet North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) CIP-014 requirements.
The purpose of the NERC CIP-014 standard is to identify and protect transmission stations, substations and associated primary control centres. Any physical attacks or damage to these components could result in widespread instability, uncontrolled separation or cascading within an interconnection.
Gibraltar is based in the US with offices located in the Middle East and South America.
